Electroshield Samara supplied equipment for the electrification of the North Caucasus railway section

  • As part of the electrification of Razezd 9 km section - Yurovsky - Anapa of the North-Caucasian Railway of JSC “Russian Railways” Electroshield Samara supplied switchgears of KRU-SESH-65 series and complete transformer substations KTP-SESH-B (M) 220/35 kV.
  • Electroshield Samara has already experience of successful delivery of indoor switchgears within the pilot production.
  • The company plans to increase the volume of supplies for this voltage class. Currently, the equipment for other objects is being prepared for shipment. 

As part of the electrification of Razezd 9 km section - Yurovsky - Anapa of the North-Caucasian Railway of JSC “Russian Railways”, Electroshield Samara supplied KRU-SESH-65 with the rated voltage of 27.5 kV and КТP-SESH-B (М) 220/35 kV. Devices are already being put into operation. The construction of electrification and power supply objects on the territory of this region is due to the increase of passenger and freight trains traffic.
Electroshield Samara has already experience of successful delivery of indoor switchgears KRU-SESH-65 for traction substations of electrified railways as part of the pilot production. KRU-SESH-65 products are of high reliability and functionality. The average service life of cabinets is at least 30 years. To prevent emergency situations, the drives of the grounding disconnector and draw-out elements of cabinets are equipped with interlocking devices. KRU-SESH-65 has a fast-speed arc protection, equipped with the diagrams preventing its false work. In the event of malfunction, the arc protection is triggered instantly — in 0.01 s — and sends the signal to disconnect the part of the circuit in which the short-circuit has occurred. One of the most important advantages of KRU-SESH-65 is the arrangement of the main high-voltage equipment mounted on the draw-out element, which meets the requirements of JSC “Russian Railways”.
Under the project on electrification of the Russian Railways section, Electroshield Samara also supplied complete transformer substations KTP-SESH-B (M) 220/35 kV, which are intended for the conversion and distribution of electricity. KTP-SESH-B (M) substations operate in a wide range of temperatures - from -60˚ up to + 40˚ - and have high seismic resistance - 9 points on MSK-64. The substation is supplied with ready-made blocks, which significantly reduces and facilitates installation time. KTP-SESH-B (M) has an automatic control system with the remote control of the substation. 
The company plans to increase the volume of supplies for this voltage class. At the present moment, the equipment for the Checon transformer substation of the North Caucasus Railway is being prepared for shipment.
